Benjamin O’Neal Brown was born to the late Corrie and the late Odessa Brown on May 4, 1941 in Upson County, Georgia. He graduated in 1959 from Drake High School in Thomaston, Georgia. He was prededed in death by his parents: Corrie and Odessa Brown; his sibling; A.C., Artis and Freddie Brown and Mary Nell Lucier.
Ben was a hard working man who worked for Thomaston Mills as a Supervisor and Peggie Park as a server. He loved gardening, reading and spending time with his family.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Friendship Baptist Church. There he was a dedicated and devoted Deacon, astute Bible study leader and Sunday school teacher. On October 22, 1961 he was united in Holy Matrimony with Ms. Mable Tomlin and unto this union two daughters were born. Left to cherish his memories his beloved wife Mrs. Mable Brown; two children: Renee (Jimmy) Harris and Phyllis Brown; three grandchildren; Carlisha (Andrew) Gentles; Britni Brown and Brianna Vaughn; four sisters; Mary Kate (Shedrick) Risper, Elouise Mann, Florence (Clifford) Holsey, Sheila (Milve) Colbert; four brothers: James Henry (Georgia) Brown, Leon Brown, Mitchell (Nancy) Brown and Dennis (Arlinda) Brown; In-Laws: Ruth Kendall, Betty Wonnum, Barbara Ann Moreland, Aldeen (Portia) Tomlin and Arthur (Ernestine) Tomlin and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly and devoted nephew Rickey Raines.
