HOMEGOING
May 1, 1918 – February 7, 2013
Pansy was born to the late Eugene and Carrie (Williams) Henley on May 1, 1918 in Griffin, GA. He was the second born of three sons, to whom preceded him in death: Mr. J. C. and Johnny Frank Henley, Sr.
He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at a young age and joined Bush Chapel AME Church where he served faithfully. Willie was united in holy matrimony to the late Lillie (Walker) Henley on April 17, 1939 and to this union 10 children were born. Willie also had 2 sons and one niece added to this union. 2 sons Willie Parks Sr. and Eugene Henley and a devoted nephew Johnny Frank Henley, Jr. precede him in death.
Brother Henley was a member of Concord Lodge #296 for almost 40 years. In 2007 he received a Certificate of Service, a card and a Pin from Prince Hall Grand Lodge for his dedication. As the sun set over the mountains of North Georgia on February 7, 2013, it also set the time for one of God’s children to exchange his natural body for a spiritual one and ended his life long journey of 94 years.
God called home the family/county great historian, a man of strong mind and body with a memory like no other.
